I’m Luigi Pica, a freelance photographer, filmmaker and video editor from Foligno, in the heart of Umbria, Italy.

My work spans portraits, events, commercial projects and nature photography. Whether I’m photographing a person, documenting a place or creating a film, I look for the details that give each story its character.

My interest in photography began as a child, with my parents’ film camera. At thirteen, I received my first digital camera and began exploring both photography and editing as ways to express my creativity.

Travel and a love of nature have shaped the way I see. Exploring unfamiliar places taught me to observe, adapt and find inspiration in unexpected moments. As my work developed, portraits and events became an increasingly important part of it, often bringing people and natural surroundings together.

Alongside photography, I developed a passion for filmmaking. Working on commercials, television and film productions gave me the opportunity to build my skills behind the camera and in the edit. In 2014, I made photography and video my full-time profession.

For me, still and moving images are two ways of telling a story. I want to create work that feels personal, captures something real and stays with the viewer.

Based in Italy, I’m available for commissions and collaborations worldwide.
